Editorial Policy

1. Our mission

Mangaflower exists to help readers discover, understand, and enjoy manga through official licensed sources. We publish reviews, genre guides, rankings, release calendars, and long-form features. We never link to piracy.

2. Sourcing

Every editorial article on Mangaflower is written or edited by a human. Facts about publication dates, volume counts, licensees, and creators are cross-checked against at least two of the following:

  • The manga's official publisher page (Shueisha, Kodansha, Shogakukan, etc.).
  • The English-language licensor (Viz Media, Yen Press, Seven Seas, Kodansha USA).
  • Anime News Network encyclopedia entries.
  • The MyAnimeList / MangaUpdates database.
  • Wikipedia (used only for context, never as sole source).

3. Reviews

Reviews reflect the reviewer's personal reading experience. A byline appears at the top of every review. Ratings are given out of 10 and take into account story, art, translation quality, and value.

4. Corrections

If we get something wrong, we fix it. Corrected articles carry an "Updated on [date] — corrected [what]" note at the bottom. Please send correction requests to editor@mangaflower.fun.

5. AI usage

We use AI tools to help draft outlines, brainstorm angles, and clean up copy. All published articles are reviewed, fact-checked, and finalised by a human editor. We do not publish machine-generated content without human review.

6. Conflict of interest

Editors disclose personal relationships with authors, translators, or publishers in the byline of any article involving those parties. Where a conflict is unavoidable, we assign the piece to a different editor.

7. Community standards

We do not tolerate harassment, hate speech, or personal attacks against creators, translators, or fellow readers in any content we publish or moderate. Comments and letters that violate these standards will be removed.
